A three-storey building has collapsed in Ojo area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.
There was however no casualties as residents have already deserted  the building located at 21 Saka Okoro Street, Ilufe Road, Alaba  International Market, Ojo.
PM News gathered that the building caved in on Tuesday morning in a partial collapse.
General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA,  Adesina Tiamiyu said on arrival at the incident scene, a 3-storey  building consisting of 8 blocks of flats collapsed in the early hours of  Tuesday.
“Investigation conducted at the incident scene revealed that the  building had showed some signs of being distressed. No life was lost and  there were no injuries sustained,” he said.
He said recovery operation was ongoing by LASEMA, Lagos State  Building Control Agency, LASBCA and other stakeholders to prevent any  secondary incident of full or total collapsed that might lead to  unnecessary loss of lives.

However, government officials have begun full demolition of the building.
An official of LASBCA who craved anonymity said occupants of the  building had been served demolition notice for long and that they had  vacated the house before it caved in on Tuesday morning.
