KWSG To Commence Construction of KWASU Campuses in Osi, Ilesha-Baruba

The Kwara State government has approved the construction of two campuses for the Kwara State University in Osi and Ilesha-Baruba at a contract sum of N2.8billion.

The Commissioner for Information and Communication, Alhaji Mahmud Ajeigbe, who announced this during a media briefing on Friday, said that the projects will be implemented through through a PPP model under the Kwara Infrastructure Development Fund (IFK).

He stressed that the State government is committed towards ensuring that the university is continually repositioned in order to achieve the mandate for which it was established.

The Commissioner also disclosed that the Council granted approval for the State government to participate in the Commercial Agriculture Credit Scheme (CACS). a

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) scheme offers a N1billion loan facility to farmers in the State at a single digit interest rate.

Ajeigbe, however, said that the government still awaits the approval of the State House of Assembly to access the credit facility.
